Default Is this a good turbo set for a 2jz-ge?

I was considering this kit and buying a downpipe and manifold kit.

or this complete set up?

I'm really just looking to get around 350-450hp. If you have a better kit then hmu. Ball park is around 1500-$2000

I've heard that both are crap my friend.

This is the one you want...

Still need FMIC piping and Fuel management but this is the better of any. I know the price is a lot more but it's worth it in the end.

Didn't look at links but I saw eBay and that is an instant no. I'm aiming for the same horsepower and currently working ok my build and I'm gonna spend well over 5 grand on my car. You can probably do it within your price range but it probably won't be reliable.

Ebay 2JZ-GE turbo manifolds are actually the same as the XS-Power one...

Which actually isn't as crappy as a unit as you would think. Some NA-T cars have been running with these manifolds for quite some time making pretty high numbers.

There's proof at clubna-t.com.

Just because you spend more doesn't mean anything at all...

There are plenty of guys running budget turbo systems with well over 500 whp and have been doing it for years...

A few well known companies even purchase the Ebay manifolds, clean up the welds, add a brace and put their name on them... This stuff is cheap and easy to build and so long as you know what to look for and what to avoid, it can be done very cheap and still retain excellent reliability...

The kit posted at this link: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Supra...ht_2067wt_1165 is a well put together kit and has everything except a front mount... you can add a cheapie front mount with piping for $200-$250, so long as you are looking for 400ish whp, add $50 or so and you will get an intercooler good for 500-600whp...

I will most likely end up purchasing the above kit for my IS after (or during) wintertime, but will do a lot more things, such as install a fuel return system and larger injectors/fuel pump, as well as either an AEM EMS, FIC or similar...

That kit is junk, turbo is 4 bolt exhaust flange.
2jzge downpipes are all 3" vband

The turbo is prob t3/t4 flange, while eBay ge manifolds are all t4

I went through what your going through last winter I spent a total of $1300 ,
My advice if going eBay is buy off of good feedback sellers and research clubna-t odyownage thread you'll kno exactly what to buy very detailed

Downpipe $90
Manifold $110
Hks knockoff 4 bolt wg $75 ( no mod to mani)
Ar70 turbo $300
Fmic+piping kit w/bov $220
Oil line kit $60
Heatwrap,4" coupler,turbo blanket etc.....$$
4 runner dist cap $20(clear 4" turbo inlet)

Research before buying I spent $1300 been boosting stock comp since April on 6psi no probs want to up it to atleast 8 soon, till Nxt winter bigger inj,hg,etc... goodluck

Not saying it can't be done. But when I saw his goals I was thinking with the his max goal of 450. And I took into consideration his budget. I'm sire he can reach his min. Goal of 325hp within budget but 450 HP under 2000 will be difficult.t

my xspower kit works just fine. The turbo manifold isnt clocked the best it barely clears the distributor, but unless you go with a manifold thats 3x more expensive you arent going to avoid that. I just deleted the distributor, money was better spent this way. other than that everything has held up, bought my own oil lines for the return though as I didnt like/use the ones from the kit. I have heard the turbos can be a hit or miss but I think there is a warranty to a certain extent. I think a decent percent of complaints about their turbos are probably the result of over/under oiling. I have not had any issues with mine, I run just a straight 3an oil line no restricter, 2 years runs good and clean, even passed emissions.
