IACV, TPS, Vacuum Leak....or other?
Ok. Got a 92 SC400. Takes a bit for it to fire up. Itll idle fine, but as soon as the gas is pressed, it either tries to die or does die. No bounce in the rpm's when its idling. This problem had only been happening during hot weather, but is now doing it in cooler (and rainy) weather. Also, when put into gear, and gas is slowly pressed, the car will barely move.
Watched some videos on youtube because im a nerd and not savvy with under the hood and from what i could remember, none of the things the IACV testing video covered where happening to my ride.
Watched a video of how to check if its a vacuum leak using carb or break cleaner. Havent tried it yet but will soon to see if that effects it at all by making the rpm's jump or bog down.
TPS....not sure how to check or where it is so help on this would be great.
Also...could a slightly clogged up fuel filter cause this, or could it be a bad fuel pump?
Thanks for any help that is given guys and gals.

what rpm is it idling at when warm and is it lower than before?
a good amount of problems with the sc400 are ignition related. i would check coilpacks (there are 2), rotors (2 again), and caps (you guessed it, 2).
there are lots of threads that cover how to test the coils and replace the rotor and caps.
It could be a fuel filter but it would have to be very clogged. It could be alot of things you mentioned you really need to start eliminating things and you should start with the ignition, then maybe the TPS.
IACV is simple to check and fix, you just take it apart and hit it with some wd40, clean up all the parts and its good to go. If the plunger is stuck and not moving anymore (you spin it to open or close it) that means its rusted a little, so you just open it up and hit the shaft with wd40 or PB blaster, wait a min and then twist hard enough and it will brake free and spin freely again. to get it to spin smooth use wd40 now and turn the plunger from full open to closed repeatedly until it spins smoothly which will also keep it from rusting again.
