Default Can you add stock Supra Twins to a 2J2-GE?

Right now I'm saving up for a Stock Supra Twin Turbo. I wouldn't be able to have the money for it until after Summer of 2012, so right now I am trying to look at all of my other options if I don't want to wait that long.

Basically, I am wondering if you can add Stock Supra Twin turbos to the 2JZ-GE SC300 5spd engine (I would be able to financially buy that car right now).

Just to get this out to everyone so that it won't be asked in the thread, I would want to add the stock turbos and parts to the SC300 as opposed to aftermarket because I am in California and don't want to fail any smog inspections. I also want the SC to have it's original engine as opposed to swapping it out for a whole new Supra motor (I have this thing where I like having original vin-matching engines on a car).

So can the turbos be added? Has it been done before? What stock parts would have to be taken from the Supra to make it work? Please let me know!
Thanks. -Jake

it won't bolt up but will work if you get a custom turbo manifold made but will probably be a waste of money. just go NA-T.

^^ what he said

It can be done, but the amount of time and money you will spend you can have a budget NA-T motor making better power

if you want to go turbo on your car without swapping the engine, best way is to just add a single turbo to your existing engine. Supra twins can be added, but you would need to go through all sorts of hurdles to get the sequential setup going, fuel management, etc. In the end, it's just not worth it.

And even when you go single setup, living in california is a big setback, so emissions are going out the window as a compromise. Could always move to another state w/o emission laws...

The problem with NA-T is that I'm in California and it won't pass emissions tests

bump!

on the GTE it's ok but you have a GE... even if you put the stock gte twins it wont pass visual because where the intake manifold sits and all the plumbing you would have to use will get that denied.

I was looking into doing the same with mine. I have someone selling supra tt and manifold and was wundering if it would work. Also not a problem picking up intake manifold and throttle body. Just seeing what modifications I need to make this setup work. And I don't mean fuel and engine management.

you would be in it alot of money tring to do it that way by the time you bought all the vsv 's and the manifold the intake water pump all the piping for the ater lines for turbo the computer you woud also have t changeout distribortor add knock senors an wiring all the piping for a intr cooler you are looking atalot of money time tring find parts would be easier to g na-t or just buy the 2gte with all parts in tact you wil still eed inter coolerpiping computer and do the wiring. and other miss stuff.

Ok once and for all the GTE turbo exhaust manifold with the twins, or even the intake manifold, does not bolt to a 2jzge. It is way easier to go with an aftermarket turbo manifold and go single turbo than to make the gte stuff fit.
