Default How much did you pay for your custom exhaust?

I am curious as to how much it would be on average for a 3inch custom exhaust from the downpipe back. I called two exhaust shops but they need to see the car to give me an estimate.

If it cost more than 300 for just the piping without mufferles I would go with this

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Fujit...item19c6e861ac

great price for a good exhaust system but its only 2.75 inch. I would like a full 3inch exhaust.

Your thoughts are appreciated.

With a custom exhaust there are a lot of factors for pricing, are they using stainless? mandrel bending? Tig or mig? Flex pipe? converter? Single or dual? For 300 bucks you probably get a crappy migged up, kink bent, mild steel exhaust with a cheap ebay fart can on the back.

Yeah thats why I say 400 for a decent exhaust. Mine I made myself 4" all aluminum exhaust with V band, burns stainless tip and a SUS downpipe. materials alone for mine were almost 1K

Damn nice find there 1996sc300! But didn't you have to take it to get modified to fit your car or was it already done when you bought it? But yes if you buy used on the forums you can find some great deals.

Does not matter to me if its aluminum or SS. And I want to dual exhaust. I suppose I would provide axleback mufflers.

What do you guys think of the exhaust in link? Is 2.75 inch going be much more of a restriction on my turbo sc3 as oppose to a 3 inch?

I just went on magnaflow.com priced and bought magnaflow mandrell bent exhaust piping elsewhere on line for a 93-97 chevy truck dr side 2.5" x2= 4 pieces for less than $65.
Now all I have to do is measure, chop, tack, weld and install. So it all ended up costing about $400 including my new Lincoln 180t welder

If you buy your exhaust pipes on line, any shop should be able to do the job for no more than 150 smackers. I can post pics of the raw pipes later if u like
