Default Update:

So I finally had time to take my car into a mechanic that does a lot of work with Lexus'. He plugged in his obd2 scanner and again, the only code was for my cat.
However, he showed me what the obd scanner was reading as far as my idle speed. Even though my rpm gauge showed 100rpm, the obd scanner showed the car idling at 600-500rpm
He said my cluster gauge is simply not reading accurately, since the car isint stalling out, or shaking, or having any issues whatsoever.
I guess its a relieve that I dont have any major repairs that need to be done, but has anyone else expierienced this typa problem? I mean I know gauge clusters arent going to be 100% accurate, but I didnt expect this big of a disrepancy!

Also, does anyone know what I can do to fix my gauge? To make it more accurate?

I know I have personally messed up the rpm gauge before when taking the cluster in and out.
Im sure there is a procedure for it or you can try the ol nudge it into place method.
I think OLT had some calibration instructions somewhere around these forums.
Doesn't sound like its anything to worry about, the scangauge is more accurate than the cluster.
