Definitely buy the pulley new. A used one could fall apart any time.

if thats the only damage consider yourself lucky. these things are capable of doing some real damage. when mine went it just gashed the fan blade a bit too.

Again, thanks everyone for the help. I never was a customer for those "performance" parts anyway. I'll see what I can dig up in regards to the part itself.

I bought a used one for $75 from a Lexus junk yard in Sacrarmento, with a 90 day "guarantee". I am too poor to afford a new one, and I needed my car for work. My car has been running fine, so far. The EXTREMELY LOUD squeal from the wobbly harmonic balancer (crank pulley) vanished with the installation of the "used" pulley. We had to create a "tool" out of scrap steel, to remove the crank pulley bolt, since we had no "air" powered tools. It was a trip. A mechanic wanted $650 for a new pulley, including labor. Couldn't afford that right now

u can buy a complete low mileage 1uz/2jzge engine for $500 or so plus shipping,,,keep that in miind if u cant find a reasonably priced replacement...sheesh that seems pricey for a pulley

Anyone have links or sites for a decently priced OEM one? I can't seem to find anything under 250 dollars.
