if thats the only damage consider yourself lucky. these things are capable of doing some real damage. when mine went it just gashed the fan blade a bit too.

I bought a used one for $75 from a Lexus junk yard in Sacrarmento, with a 90 day "guarantee". I am too poor to afford a new one, and I needed my car for work. My car has been running fine, so far. The EXTREMELY LOUD squeal from the wobbly harmonic balancer (crank pulley) vanished with the installation of the "used" pulley. We had to create a "tool" out of scrap steel, to remove the crank pulley bolt, since we had no "air" powered tools. It was a trip. A mechanic wanted $650 for a new pulley, including labor. Couldn't afford that right now

this is the truth. i bought one used off of here about a year ago. the thing just fell apart while i was pulling into a gas station a week ago. thank god for roadside service on the insurance for the tow.
