Default Can Someone Tell Me What this Is Called?

This part recently came off the engine of one of my cars. I'm trying to get a name and/or part number for it and the piece it attaches to. It loosened of the bottom left pulley off my SC300. I don't know if I should replace just this "outer ring" or the entire wheel itself. Anyway here is a picture of what came off...

thats your crank pulley. you need a new one. mine did the same when the rubber insides wore out completely.

Crank pulley, figured something along the lines. Will i need a new pulley or just the ring that came off of it?

you need the crank-shaft pulley (pulley, crank dampener)

I just sold my extra one too. GL with replacing it. Get a chain wrench and wrap a old belt around the pulley then place the chain wrench on it. The belt will help not tear up the grooves from the chain wrench. I hope this helps. Use a pry bar if necassary.

It must be a 3.0 engine thing. Ive never heard of that happening to a 4.0.

Personally I would say dont risk it by buying used, unless you can find one with really low mileage on it,

Don't going with one of those solid "performance" pulleys either. The motor needs the harmonic balancer to keep the motor from tearing itself apart.
