Default Help Identifying a transmission pleeeease

So I picked this bad boy up when I was in vegas this past weekend, and now that I've got it home and took a few measurements I'm a little unsure as to what exact box it is. It was bolted up to a 1J supposedly. There are no markings on the unit itself and judging by the remote shifter my guess it's either a late model SC W58 or an MKIV Supra unit. Any input or help is appreciated.

^^Agreed with MIGS..cause that looks too skinny to be an R154.

Yeah, I noticed that gasketmaker crap as well. Hopefully if they did anything, they did it right. I'm going to wire wheel the paint off of this thing and once I figure out what the hell it is from try to sell the bellhousing. Does the shifter unit look like anything specific?

Yes W58 but that cross member looks like an MK3 one , that tyle of cross memeber was never on the SC or the MK4.

I've had that link bookmarked for years now and it has always been great. Nothing like seeing them compared side by side and then seeing the measurements also.

Awesome link...so we know it's not an R154. Now which W58 might it be?

it's a later version W58 for a MKIV or later model SCs (both the same). External shifter is a dead giveaway
