Huge power loss Please help. PLEASE...
I've got a 1993 SC400 130k miles. Timing belt changed at 105k.
The car seems to have no power at all when driving. Push on the gas pedal and you hardly go. A Geo Metro has more power. When your inside the car it kind of smells like gas. I thought it was the CAT so i had them chop off the rear one, and punch out the front. I also changed the air filter. On top of this the battery is going bad, or alternator... My dad said to maybe change the battery and the car will have enough power to run everything properly.
What do you think it is??? Spark plugs? Battery? Fuel filter? O2 sensor?
I have no idea, anything will help.

I haven't checked the fuel filter. I don't know how... Thinking I should just buy the part and replace it. I did buy the repair manual. Lol. No misfiring, no knocking... It just feels like its power by a Civic engine pulling this huge boat.
I have pulled the position plugs several times to clean the terminals. I don't know much about this stuff but I'll try to look at the MAF. Thanks guys! Any other possibilities?

have you done compression test? smell like gas, generally means youre running too rich or ignition problem.
Turn the key, without turning the engine, does the check engine light turned off by it self?
Pull and check the spark plug, see if anyone of them may faul (drench in gas). Do spark check, ensure its gapped properly and it spark.

- Unplug the spark plug wire (the same wire connected to the engine and spark plug) from the distributor cap end.
- Hold the end of the wire very close to the distributor cap terminal. (Using an insulated pair of pliers to hold the plug wire is optional, but recommended.)
- Crank the engine
