Default SC400 Transmission Question

I have tried numerous search phrases and cannot find what I'm looking for, so let me apologize in advance because I know it's been covered but I can't find it.

92 SC400. Transmission is pooping out. Found a tranny from a '95 model. Owner states manufactured in Aug '94. Will this work for my 92?

Is it OBDI and II that make the difference?

1) moved to proper forum

2) info from search:
1992-1997 SC400's use the A340E, the same transmission as the 1995-1997 LS400. 1990-1994 LS400's use the A341E transmission, which is the same except for a taller (slower) first gear.

Thank you!
My main concern is will there be any plug differences? Or absolute plug n play?
