Default 1jzgte in the works maybe??

I remember this site from years back in my DSM days..
http://osakajdmmotors.ca/jdm-engines...t5pqmf34lnn916

Just wondering if the JDM part makes a difference in our cars?

http://osakajdmmotors.ca/jdm-engines...t5pqmf34lnn916

The 2JZGTE Aristo engine is only $1750 WITH trans/wiring harness, basically everything...

I may be buying one or the other with tax return here in a couple weeks if everything on this site checks out.
Anybody have any experience with them?

Osaka is a legit site. I had one friend order a 1JZ-GTE and another ordered a 2JZ-GTE. Both arrived in about three days and they both said the customer service was great. They sent my friend with the 1JZ a few extra parts to help with his swap as well.

Since it is a JDM engine, you will need to extend the wiring harness. There are some other things as well, but I'm not too familiar with the JDM 2JZ-GTE.

Hmmmm seems well enough for me! Just have to send out the harness and get it extended! Thanks for the reply!

And thanks for moving this to the Performance section..

It must also be said that even though JDM parts are technically "Junkyard" parts from Japan, Canada is getting some of the best quality imported stuff because their RHD market is huge.

I got a great condition 1jz engine/trans/ecu pack for $1250 USD shipped to my door off a liftgate, and all the bolts still had the zinc coating on them! This was from Nagasaki JDM in B.C. Canada.

Hmm, well I called them and they said there engines have less than 40k on them. And have a decent warranty that comes along with it. I'm torn between a 2Jz and the 1j.. Idk exactly what i'm going to do. For $500 more I can have one of the best and highest rated/used import engines out there.. Not sure. Either way, I will be getting one or the other in just a short time.

The choice is yours. They are both great engines, and the heavy debate between them is still up in the air on what and who is better. The 1JZ has alot of the samw parts, etc, but the 2jz looks better. The 1jz loves to rev, but the torques is a little better on the 2jz due tot he larger increase in liters by .5
