Default aftermarket foglight issue smoking issue

i purchase a set of fog light from autozone about two week now had my friend install staight to the old fog wire instead of using the fusebox an switch that came with it had no issue untill i install a 5000k upgrade bulbs i order from china h3 100 watt pieace of **** mess up my car long story short iwas driving to pic my up girl i started noticing a wierd smell i thought it was the heater cause i just reroute it started to get stronger an stronger to the piont i could barly breath smoke started to *** out of the steering wheel on top of the air bag so wat u guys think i burt i install the oringinal bulbs bac and still same problem i think the wire is already touching

It certainly sounds like the unfused circuit melted and burned through something else's insulation in the process. Don't blame the Chinese, you left out the fusebox that came with the fog lights. The stock wires were never intended to handle the load of the new lights.

First, disconnect the new fog lights.
Second, trace back the OEM wire until you find everywhere it burned & remove it (all of it if you can get to it).
Third, use liquid or regular electrical tape on every wire it crossed where it left even a mark on the insulation.
Fourth, run new appropriately sized, fused and switched wires to the new fog lights.

i blame the chinese the bulb they send me the negative and positive wire was touching we did a check yes ur right i should of install the fuse it would of blowm first now i gotta do all this bull crap thnak for the replies
