check your map sensor.. if u have one.. the IS comes with a mass air flow meter and the 1jz needs a map sensor.. if its missing you can use one form a 2jz and u can get it from the dealer or Driftmotion..

Car has a map sensor on firewall with a vacuum ran to the intake manifold.

It's not throwing code 12 it's throwing 1+2 unless the cel isn't reading proper. It use to throw a o2 code but hasn't anymore and the o2 still isn't wired in.

Update:

Got ahold of a multimeter and checked the camshaft sensors, crank sensor and tps all seem to be reading correctly.

Something weird when i unplug the tps the car doesn't rev past 1,000 but when i plug it in it revs to 1,800.

Can it be the wiring from the tps plug going to ecu?

If the O2 is not wired as you say, then the O2 code is no surprise. It may be throwing code 12 because you have direct wired some circuits off the ignition switch. As long as the car cranks and fires, code 12 should not be an issue.

TPS is the biggest concern at this point. When you replaced the TPS, did you calibrate it? Also, did you verify the part number on the TPS? We had an issue where a guy on here received and installed the wrong TPS and it really caused some tail-chasing for him.

TPS is not the biggest concern imo - you can unplug the TPS and drive the car, it just shifts extremely late. The TPS controls the shift schedule and fuel/ignition to an extent basically but not enough to drown the car out.

I say the RPM issue is the cause. I had a friend locally that had his 1JZ Swapped SC300 sit up for a few months because he didn't have time to find why his car was doing exactly what yours is doing. I bypassed his FIC (which had the wrong tune or lost its tune somehow - being the crank/cam sensors) and the car ran like a champ. It would normally shut off between 2500 - 3000 RPM and idle like junk afterwards before hand.

If you really want to test it, reset your ECU by pulling the fuse. It'll clear the limp mode until you trigger the action again

Thanks for the replies

New Update:

Changed the tps and knock senosr again, reset the battery.

It's throwing only code 21 now o2 sensor.

I haven't calibrated the tps but the car reved out at idle until i drove it then it wouldn't rev past 2k rpm. It's does the same when i unplug the tps sensor aswell.

P.S the original tps is off a 1jz and the new i put on is off a ge if that makes a difference.
