Since it's blown, and I'm a GTE advocate personally, put a good un-ground crank back in it, stock rods, some 8.5:1 pistons, and do the NA-T.

The experience, and knowledge of building an engine from the ground up will be useful in any car.

Plus, if anything ever goes wrong you know just how to get to the problem with 100% confidence.

I somehow vote, Mild Built NA-T, who knew!?
oops didnt see this post...thank you btw
So is it possible to not machine the block in there now with a fresh set of bearings/rods?

With a spun bearing.

If you want it back to stock, just buy a used engine.

If you want it to have power. Buy a used turbo engine.

If you want lots of power.

Bore yours 20 over. Buy new crank uncut, and buy new rods. Aft mkt turbo pistons. Cause your new to it, get a decently stock compression piston. 8-8.5:1.

btw i think "threw a rod" means you installed a window in your block.

Well spun a bearing, but as far as I drove it like that im surprised the rod didnt eject itself...it was knocking hard, hence the trashed block
