Default Thoughts on E-cut?

So I was thinking instead of doing an exhaust revamp I would get some electric exhaust cut outs on my SC400. What do you guys think? This should keep it legal in CA still right with a switch to be illegal? Also where abouts would you recommend installing them? After or before cats/resonators? Here's a quick vid for those of you who are not familiar with E-cuts.

Actually here's a better video. I think it's kind of cool to have the option to switch it on or off because some days I get tired of hearing a loud exhaust.

I think in theory they are really cool. In reality, they all tend to start leaking and sound like blown header gaskets.
