350Z trans adapter?

well the 1JZ starter wont work with this, you need a 2JZ starter as it doesn't have that cap that is hitting the flywheel. For the flywheel bolts, you need 3RZ bolts, pn 90910-02116. they are longer and will fit. Also in the images above I had forgotten the 4.6mm spacer that goes between the flywheel and the crank, so the 4age bolts are wayyy to short.
To install this starter in a removable way, I need some longer bolts to weld on as studs and drill the threads out of the starter.

Yep that's what I did, welded longer bolts into the plate as studs and drilled the starter holes. I don't remember the bolt sizes I used, sorry. Just went to the hardware store and bought misc sizes.

Taken from my other thread. I finally got my shifter finalized. You can see how much offset is required to get this to fit in the factory location. I spent a lot of time fitting these pieces up to get it to fit as good as possible with as little trimming of the black interior trim piece as possible. You'll see I had to cut a notch out of the right side so I could get into reverse. Also a small notch taken out of the left side to get into 1st. The throw is a little bit long, but I don't know if there's anything I can do about that. I think it'll be just fine.
Car drives and shifts great! I've driven it all over the place and so far so good. I just have some cheap trans fluid concoction in there right now, but will be switching it over to Amsoil here soon. Taking off from a go is still very smooth, which is great because I was a little worried the solid adapter for the rear of the driveshaft (replacing the stock rubber donut) was going to make things harsher, but I don't feel any difference at all.
So far so good! I have a new shift boot on the way, and an Evo 9 MR 6spd shift **** on the way as well. I'm still battling some other issues though with my fuel pressure and crank signal so won't be getting on a dyno quite yet.

could you take a pic of the shifter in 1st, 5th, and reverse? also are you still using the reverse lockout spring etc?
wonder how much a short shifter would take off the throw, i bought a oem shifter but been throwing the idea around about buying a twm shifter and hacking it to work.

Yeah I can post some pictures tonight for you.
As for the short shifter, I suppose it could help as long as its one that actually moves the fulcrum like the one in this pic. Or you could just lengthen the bottom portion of the stock one for the same effect.

yea i am considering ordering up a short shifter to avoid cutting into the bezel. take a video of you shifting the gears in the car (dont have to be driving). also, how many inches did you move it forward? I will probably have to do something like this. what is the short shifter that moves the fulcrum there?

And here is the interior buttoned up. New shift boot off ebay and delrin shift **** off ebay. The boot is stretched to it's max when in reverse, and the top of the boot the hole is a little too big. But overall, pretty happy with it.

What's up everyone, i'm new to the forum. I am throwing in a 1uz into my fc with a cd009 trans attached. I've already machined the bellhousing the recommended 5/8", but I am curious what type of clearing the throwout bearing should have. I know Brett Collins sells a modified version that is supposed to work, but I am capable of handling the fab on my own. Can anyone confirm whether the throwout bearing is supposed to ride slightly on the pressure plate, or if there is supposed to be a bit of clearance between the two? Thanks in advance!

MiniKmati5, you might get a better response in this thread

for swapping the CD009 onto a 1uz specifically.
