92 sc300 AC wont fill
hey so here's my issue
i have an ac refill bottle with gauge and i know it works properly since i tested it on another car to see if Freon was going in.
In my SC300 when hooked up properly the system will not allow freon in, as in either the ball valve is blocked or something similar.
I'm looking to see if anyone has had this issue and if so what did you do get the the freon to enter the system.
thanks!

Some more details will help, how well has the system been maintained? The r134 retrofit kits often include substandard fittings and those things can cause all sorts of problems. If the gauge can read pressure off the low side then refrigerant from the bottle should flow.

i dont know the full history of the conversion, it was done before i had it, i can push in both the high and low side valves, so they arent stuck, but i cant read the pressure when hooked up to the system, but that could be because its empty.
im going to get it evacuated and recharged this week. I think the issue may lay with my specific hose.

ok so progress!!
found out my low side valve was fubar so i replaced both, and now freon will enter the system with no problem woohoo!
issue now is that the compressor wont come on. with the ac switch on the idle is noticibly higher around 800 which led to me thinking it was coming on from the higher load, but i went and looked and no dice, so wheres the relay, which pins do i need to jump to force on the compressor, and who has a 93 sc300 ac wiring diagram?
thanks!

another update
jumped the compressor and ran it for a while, but the air did not get cold
so i have an issue with the connection to the ac compressor, and then somewhere with the freon not cooling the air.

when i went to get mine recharged at first it wasn't taking the freon.
then started to take it, and took alot of freon, 3 days later it was back to hot air seems i might have a little escape route on the AC piping.

Get your engine to a high idle with the freon flowing. The compressor will not kick on until a certain psi is reached to protect the compressor. My truck would not pull freon unless it was over 1500 rpm. Then the compressor kicked on and low side dropped to 10 psi and started to climb very slowly to 55 psi at 80F, that's max for my low side system per the manual it was cooling great after that.
