Default launching

whats the best way to launch our sc's, i seem to keep bogging and cant get it right so i wanted know what others do to launch, i havent seen a thread but if there is, this can be deleted..

i launched at about 2.5-3.5k let go of clutch and wot and it takes off but a lil after my engine just loses all its power and then builds up power again. in one race my car lifted and took off and then just droped lost all the power (i think a bog) and i thought engine died but didnt... pretty much i feel a hesitation like it launches, slows down, takes off again..

what do you guys do to launch and what good techniques to increase better launch in a n/a 2jz

Hold it at WOT with the clutch pushed in and then let your foot slide off the side of the clutch pedal.

Seriously, you just have to experiment with rev range and slipping the clutch. Each car has a different power curve and traction, so anyone trying to give you a cookie cutter technique would be useless.

MT Drag Radials + WOT + sidestep clutch

Launch technique is going to take alot of seat time to master and every car is different.

You're bogging? Try a higher RPM. A little spin is not a problem on street tires.

well i let the tires spin, at 2-3k its not much of a bog, but at 3-4k it bogged nasty..

maybe its the way i launch?
i have clutch in and hold gas at launching rpm lets say 2-3.. i release clutch and go WOT at same time
should i slowly let the clutch out or just release it wen i wot

You probably have less low end tq from your exhaust
max tq isnt till like 4k rpm's
car weighs like 3800 lbs

There is nothing about a stock 300 that lends well to good launches
