im lost, code 31, 52 trac off
hello i just got a 93 sc400 it needed some work but not to much but iv ran into a problem the car turns on and idels fine but ill give it gas and after a while the cel will come on with the trac off light and iv looked and looked all over and still cant find the problem but when i turn the car off and back on the cel and trac light will be gone its only when i drive it i guess it will start running bad and i dunno wat to do i got a code 52 once but then i reset the ecu and now i dont get any codes when i jump it but the cel and trac light comes on need help anything will help thanks for your time

o and also my belts r makin a funny nois and when i step on the gas it gets louder proly just need to change it it has 114xxx miles on it just put new plugs in it

Yep your right , some punctuation would help. The first sign is the 02 sensors. That's the first giveaway with those symptoms. Run the codes and see what you have, then go from there. My advice...

Code 52-knock sensor circuit failure(check the wiring before buying a sensor when I threw this code it was due to the sensor wire being separated during my head gasket replacement)
Never thrown 31, but I think that's for either high, or low airflow meter voltage?..clean, or replace the maf

Be CAREFUL whenever you clean the MAF. Never, ever put anything smaller than a grapefruit inside your MAF as the electronics are fragile. Use a cleaner solvent specifically for MAFs to clean it out.

I've actually seen people use a toothbrush to scrub it out with soapy water. Needless to say the toothbrush and the soapy water wrecked that MAF permanently. We used it the next week during our weekly GTG to play broom hockey.

sorry my bad i should have been more clear . thanks for the pics , but i forgot to put wat pic i needed . i need a pic of the knock sensor or a good idea of where its at . i think i know but not to sure . thanks
