well i have them running for a few weeks now. The ac has cooled down however i think i need a new ac pump and dryer canister because its still not that cold.

plus side: better cooling when in traffic because alot more airflow
down side: air turbulence at speeds over 80mph.. youll start to over heat slightly - keep in mind i have a big single turbo 1jzgte, which makes alot of heat. just kidding, turned out one of my puller fans died -_-

im personally going to keep the fan on the condenser and either wire it to a switch so it wont create the turbulence when im driving but when i need it in traffic ill just turn it on.

next step routing plastic dryer tubing from the front bumper to the intake filter for a little more airflow

just wanted to provide a updae here . i finally made a circuit for my supra aux fan setup so the puller fan only comes on with ac request on and car running .

it works and works well . yesterday here in south florida we were in the 90's with ungodly humiditiy and decided to test it out . with my laptop connected so i could watch coolant temps in real time via aem my coolant temps struggled to get above 172 and after just sitting and idling, hood closed for almost 10 minutes didnt rise above 174 degrees. without the aux fan after sitting for 5 minutes my temps would have risen past 187 easily . since its now pulling the heat off condensor the ac blows like a freezer. before fan was working it usually took driving for a few miles to cool down , now its cold almost instantly and believe it or not had to turn ac temp to 73 deg in 90 degree temps or i was shivering inside car

bottomline guys , for those who have thick intercoolers like i now have and reside in hot climates and would like to be able to run ac and not worry about being in traffic , get the 93-96 supra fan shroud , get the 8 in aux fan from 93-96 supra with the mounting bracket and wire it in to ac request . it works and works 100% to stabilize coolant temps

no need for that unless you are running hot without ac .. my car always runs between 169 and 176 without ac regardless of ambient temps , it only starts to creep with ac on and condensor trying to heat soak radiator

so that being said the aux fan usage is only needed upon ac request so its tied into ac request only with a relay .. i also have a manual override switch in cabin so with ac off and ambient is 100 and im sitting in heavy traffic ( which is very rare for me ) i can flip the switch and keep temps down and stable

its definitely a good idea. i might re-wire mine so it only turns on when the a/c is on. because i think i may be getting turbulance from having the fan in front of the condenser.

can you pm/post the pins you wired into for that?

Ed (lex for life), do you remember how you wired the fans up?
