Default Throwout Bearing Rub Marks on Pressure Plate

took my transmission off yesterday b/c it's very worn out due to a few years of abuse and notice deep rub marks on the pressure plate teeth. Clutch, pressure plate and flywheel are only about 3 months old max. don't have a pic right now but you can pretty much imagine how it looks like, abnormal marks around the center of the pressure plate. what could cause the throwout bearing to rub so bad?

Does the TOB spin freely? The first thing that comes to mind is that the TOB is seizing or failed and is spinning against the PP fingers.

That does not really look abnormal to me. Its tough to tell from the pics, but it looks like light wear marks and not gouges. You will have some wear normally just from the contact.

What happens when you hear your throw out bearing chirping non stop until you press in the clutch? Is the throw out bearing rubbing on the pressure plate? I had my clutch replaced in February and it's super annoying to drive through traffic and hear a grasshopper in your transmission.

its normal signs of wear unless there is noise with your coming from your tob. thats the area where the tob meets to pp to release your clutch. i wouldnt be to worried about it and make sure you dont rest your foot onthe clutch pedal when not being used. lots of customers tend to do this i explain to them they need to depress the clutch completely and take their foot off the pedal.

same marks on my past 3 clutches, normal wear. i wouldn't worry about it unless you have noise or engagment issues

was just curious, before i took off the transmission it was hard to get into gears unless i force it in. at first i thought it was the clutch slave, replaced that but no help. thought it might be the pressure plate that failed next but it looks fine when i took it off. whole clutch kit and flywheel is only about 3-4 months old. so last thing i would guess is the transmission itself. i took the transmission cases off and all the gears looks fine, maybe it's the thrust washer or something that i'm missing? btw this didn't happened until i used launch control w/ sticky tires at the track .....

ok i think i just found out what the culprit is...

this rivet has completely broken off on one of the straps

how it supposed to look like

gap on the big rivet

no gap

are pressure plate straps and rivets replaceable or fixable??
