Smile exhaust question

right now my car has no cat or resonators so its basically straight pipe to the mufflers, "bought it like that"

will my car loose any power running like that? im thinking about putting some new mufflers on my car.

should i leave the piping how it is and just add mufflers?

or go with a 2.5 or 3in. straight pipe to the mufflers? if i change the piping, how much of a real difference will there be? also would it be just sound or performance or both?

sry for the really noob question...lol

btw car is all stock engine wise

need answers quick!!! about to get the exhaust done today or tomorrow!!!!

I'm guessing you have an SC300? also does it have a turbo? for non-turbos I think 2.5 would be ok.

Add x pipe about ten inches long, repalce with Magnaflows and call it the day. If you have a swap, use HKS or something with more flow. JMO.

For NA 2jz, don't bother with upsizing. The gains are minimal. 2.25" is adequate. The mufflers are a more critical choice because you have to live with them so pick a sound you like.

If this was a potential turbo project, I wouldn't consider anything less than 3"
