What lines? can you take pics?
the reason I asked about the filter is if I suspected it was really bad, don't forget to replace if possible, or at least flush, the line from the tank to the filter. Otherwise your new one will clog up right away.

I got the new tank. Put it in and it ran for like 20 secs then died.I tried cr anking it but it wouldent again? like the starter is stuck or something

So when you turn the key, no sound, no crank? If so turn on your headlights and see if they work. If they don't turn on nice and bright your battery is dead.
