Question Single or Twin Turbo?

Need some opinions....
I'm gonna eventually turbo my first gen GS3, and since more of you have turbos, thought you might have a better feel for this than the GS owners.

I want to produce about 500hp max, be at full boost around 3k for 85% stop light to stop light racing & 15% freeway racing and would like to know which way I should go?

Single: TO4-SP57 (nothing too big like a T88 cause I need to keep it "streetable")

OR

Twin: Dual T3's or One T3 and one T3/4 hybrid or smaller two T28's

I'll be using a Tial wastegate, Spearco FMIC, custom equal length manifold, for fuel I'm thinking about a piggy back ECU or AIC (more than 2 injectors... preferably 6) dual supra pumps or Walbro 255lph intank, custom intake manifold, custom 3" down pipe and dual 2.5" exits.

i'd soon as go with a SP57; its a proven performer that more than exceeds the requirements you have set forth

seen them making 500rwhp on stock fuel on SupraTTs and they spool faster than the stock twins in true-twin mode

With that kind of power the stock tranny won't last.

Well, I'm already planning on converting it from auto to manual...either a MKIV or SC3 5 speed.

I'll run an RPS clutch and a lighted flywheel...

Does anyone know the Garrett/Turbonetics equivelant to the SP57? And what's the AR ratio,compresor/turbine trim etc? And does SP have compressor maps?

info is on SP's website...

equivalent to a garret? i'm not sure of the exact equiv; there may not be one...

SP uses Garret parts and some secret herbs and spices to make their own spec turbo...
Look around on supraforums.com for reviews of this and the SP60 and SP63 turbo...
DaveH had a nonturbo MKIV; he got a turbokit for it and used the SP63 turbo... he then ran 10.6s

here's the install of one and some extra info:
http://www.supras.nl/view.php?page=modsSP57kit.htm

here's the kit you can buy from MVP motorsports, just scroll down
http://www.mvpmotorsports.com/Templa...211&SearchYN=N

and here's the specific turbo info:

Thanks for the links...

Looks like I have a project to plan. I'll let you guys know what I decide when I figure it all out. Of course, that might take a while. I know I'm gonna need my husbands help... and he's got a project of his own right now... you know how it is.

Why not do a QUAD turbo set-up?

The SP57 is a very nice turbo. I have rode in few supras runing them and it spools good has nice power should put you just under 500rwhp with the right upgrades. I think you will need fuel I am not very familare with the GS system but I would assume its pretty small being a NA from the factory. And from what I hear the SC 5speed tranny wont hold that kinda power with a ver aggrsive clutch you might want to consider doing a Gtrag 6 speed or a worked auto tranny.

Why would I do a QUAD turbo set-up?
I don't think there'd be any room for four turbos, unless I'm missing something?

I think JAC is saying if two are better than one, then 4 is the shizzle.

Geez Awj she was jokin too...well youll just have to wait and see the pictures I have of our car being test fitted with 6 countem' 6
T-25 turbos from a automatic eclipse. She should have full boost by 9000 RPM and make 86 PSI with a total of 350 hp and 2100 ft of tq. So with six 800cc injectors and four blow off valves two intercoolers and two live rear axles this thing should really move !

LOL
