You should def buy omar swap! its 100% complete with all the good **** too! $2500 for eveything is not a bad deal, especially with the clutch set up as well... Do some research to how much it will cost to piece it all together.. you will def be spending $2500 for everthing with the right parts!!

Good luck finding a cheap swap! Ill sell you mine for $2450 lol

I'll just wait it out. Now if ohmar had the full swap pedals and all I'd pay him 2500$. But when I can call Adam up at driftmotion and get a used r154 and have the res brand new for ohmar's price if just rather buy it all new. I can't use his clutch and flywheel I am getting a Exedy twin disc for it so no use. I just don't get how your gonna buy something put all that money into it use it and then ask more than you have into it "not saying anyone in particular" lol
You buy the rest of his stuff and I will buy his clutch set up!

Yes 1700 but needs 3000$ to rebuild it and it need the casing and bellhousing. he doesn't know how much the gears , bearing and syncros for a v160 cost

Op obviously doesn't knwo much about V160s, he doesn't know how much it cost to rebuild V160s

Yes there is one on Sf for 2500 with a cracked case, that case is over $800 at toyota with all the discounts you can't get it for less than . been there done that it will back and bit you in the @$$.
Yes is have seen on for 1700 with no casing , no bellhousing just the internals (guts).
Decent V160 starts at $2800-5500 brand new.
That's w/o the inpection plates, no fork, no tripod, no shifter no lever it's basically naked. the shifter parts alone will cost you $750,
shift **** itelf the cheapest i can get it for $10% over is $98 .
Then you need a trans mount $109,
Slave cylinder $70
crossmember $150
drive shaft, custums 1peice from $500-$999.
then flywheel, Pressure plate , disc and throw out bearing if you get the best deal ever it will cost you 650-700 for all those parts all used,
new clutch will go from $800 single disc clutchmasters to $6000 tilton, then you need atleast a GS400 3.26 diff to match the v160 gears.
Trd lsd if you can afford it it will run you $895.00 for the LSd, you need 2 side bearings $150 and 2 orings $25, rtv sealer $25, if you can't do it yourself it will cost you $150 to get the trd installed in the diff properly.
6speed diff go from with stock LSd1400-4000 trd diff brand new .

if you own a V160 or R154 car you will know how much the stuff cost.

I spent the money and time to get all brand new parts, if you can't afford it sorry , you can try to peice your own swap.I am sure you can build the swap for under $1000 .

Gotta pay to play and i did !

Doesn't it make more sense to get an already sporty newer car for that money? Just saying!

All of this talk of prices for a V160/R154 swap make me not want to do one. I never realized it cost so much to rebuild a V160 too. You definitely have to pay to play in this case.

I think I'll just buy a 6-speed MKIV Supra TT whenever I finish up my SC and LS.

It's the best thing ever if you gonna keep the car for a while, not ever worry about trans and if you drive it.
Yeah it's not cheap and it's not for everyone but if you wanna play hard 800-1500whp and have a manual trans that's what you will need and that comes with the 3200-6000$ clutches lol.

I used to hate the R154s why? because i used to have all types of crazy issues with my previous one, and i was breaking clutches let and right..I used to pull my trans twice a week .

But you can always buy the complete swap gte with v160 for 6k and then start to upgrad from there.
Mk4s used to be very expensive 5-7years ago, that's when i think people started to realise they can buy an sc and swap a gte in it and have the same power as the supra for almost half of the price.

If you can afford it just do it!
