will put up pictures and part numbers in a bit
You did get the real TPS out of the SC300. But you also got the Trac TPS as well. (Traction Control System). The Trac uses a TPS, it will always be to the left of the "real" TPS. If you don't have Traction Control, I don't think you will need it.
*(btw, I forget the site I purchased my TPS at, but I guess that doesn't matter anymore now that you have a TPS. )*

Once you get the TPS in, it will require calibrating, (what I call it), that is, moving the TPS back and forth both ways slowly, with the car running. Find the spot of were the idle is perfect, or as perfect as you can it at the time. Not hard, just tedious.

You cannot put the trac TPS to were the primary TPS is on the throttle body. The trac TPS spins the opposite way. As long as you identify the Trac TPS, you will be good. That's the reason whenever I get both the trac and the primary TPS's at a junkyard, I put a scratch on the Trac TPS, just so I know. Let us know if replacing the TPS works.

I tried one of them (they both spin the same way and look pretty identical), but the problem is still happening.

NOTE; it seems that the bucking happens when car heats up, it does not depend on wether or not it has been turned off and restarted (it does this now and before the new sensor)

ill try the other one tomorrow but I doubt thats it. Whats up next, the maf?

thanks
scott

I was almost 100% sure that it was the TPS...I had the same symptoms and the TPS fixed it...If MAF does not fix the problem, (highly unlikely), than were gonna move on to the tranny mounts. GL

im pretty sure the MAF fixed it. i will drive some more today and double check but it did not act up yesterday, cold or warm, on the first start or after it was killed and restarted. seems to be working well

anyways, everyone was saying that with the TPS, it would be fine on the first start but only after restarting it would it begin to act up. in my case, it would act up just when it warmed up, it didnt have to be killed and restarted

thanks for all the help

Great! Glad the MAF fixed the problem. Unfortunately, with Lexus, any problem is hard to overcome if your not familiar with the car. But that is what makes a Lexus, a Lexus. GL to your further projects!
