Default should i add a tranny cooler on single turbo 2jzgte

I'm taking the bumpers off to get painted soon and i was wondering should i add a tranny cooler? this is my first auto so do i simply add the tranny cooler to go after the stock tranny cooler or do i bypass the stock tranny cooler all together?

thanks,
sid

Any heat you can remove from the transmission fluid, the longer the trans could potentially last. Or you could go six-speed and remove the cooler and related parts altogether.

I bought this one.

B&M Transmission Cooler 70264

It's mounted on the front ride side of the bumper. It has it's own area away from the radiator all by itself. My installer did a good job. It's hard to take pics cause it's already installed.

I would not bypass the stock cooler as that can cool faster than an external cooler so the proper way to do it would be to run an aftermarket after the stocker before it goes back to the trans so with that being said I run 3 coolers as this is how ATF speed told me to do it.... Stock in to a B&M super cooler with a fan then in to a tube and fin cooler for fast flow which is how the 1000+ whp supras with built autos do it.

Pics of the set up....

What do you mean by the whole line as a cooler?

agreed but with one major change , i would bypass lines going into bottom of stock rad , keeping the stock tranny lines cooling thru bottom of stock rad adds more heat to the rad for your fan to disperse and for the tranny fluid side of things , running the fluid thru the bottom of a hot radiator diminishes the ability of the radiator to actually cool the fluid correctly .. the initial design was intended for low hp usage.

gh

Plus alot of HP guys are running a aftermarket RAD which is not capable of passing trans through them.

Which is what I am going to do ^^ so I will be down to just the 2 coolers however I don't feel that losing the radiator cooler will be that big of an issue however I wish I had a way to keep it.

The benefits of the RAD portion of the cooler is virtually useless once single, the true benefits
will be recognized with a good quality cooler and a fan.
