JDM ECU Piggyback Setups - post them up
Trying to get information on different fuel controllers members are using for JDM map sensor 2JZGTE ecu's.
Basically what you are using, how it works, etc.. There isn't a whole lot of info out there and this info would help fellow CL members out choosing a piggyback.

Ali ,
One of the only piggy back i like is the map ecu 2 , i have seen someone made 800whp on ethanol on the aristo ecu with the map ecu lol, it was unbelievable.
I was going to same aem fic, but i am done with aem products..
let me know what get!

alot of members just want to run 550's the simplest way possible and I think the safc fits the bill there.

The map ecu 2 is not really that expensive for what it does.
I guess depending on your power goal you can use the safc, which i don't like because it just trick the ECU to think this and that.

Yeah I just wanted to get a collection of info on all the different types, im not even looking for one atm.
The map ecu 2 still tricks the ecu by changing the map voltage, it just has a nice table you can enter all the stuff into so you can tune each load which is nice. the v2 can also pull timing which is good, but not as needed with gte ecu.
alot of people just want to run 550's or 660's so I want to get a collection of info all in one place.
These ecu's have been out there for a long time, I am sure there are a lot of different setups.

JDM Soarer converted to manual, e-manage blue, stock injectors @ somewhere between 15 and 18 psi. Also stock turbos with HKS 264 cams. Plan to upgrade to E-mange ultimate to rev the 1j to 7750 rpm, run 650 injector, andbolt on a hx35 with bep .70 back.

^ come on guys this is the oldest trick in the xJZGTE book. it works. it's alright for the most part, and there has been documented accounts of this for over a decade.
I run emanage ultimate. I got it for about the average price of an safc and it's worth every penny. No fuel cut, can kill speed cut too which is cool for keeping stuff like cruise control, Timing control works, fuel control works. I also used the dip switches and assigned maps to them and run dual injection/ignition maps to double resolution. Data logging is awesome, the unit also has an afr target feature that works pretty good. it will definitely get you in the ballpark. There's even more that I haven't mentioned/can't remember/don't care. It's a very underrated setup. It can be a bit of a pain in the *** because with as many features as it has, it's still a device of manipulation, so you have to figure out a way to manipulate the units features to manipulate the ecu at it's best if that makes any sense. For example injector scaling. Greddy support is a joke, so you're on your own. I've messed with this system on aristo ecu, soarer/jzx ecu, and currently soarer/jzx 1jz vvti in my daily. I run id100os on it and e85 daily. Car fires amazing, idles/runs amazing. It's all in the tune. TO UTILIZE THIS UNIT TO IT'S FULLEST EXTENT YOU MUST HAVE THE WIDEBAND HARNESS AND GREDDY PRESSURE SENSOR WITH HARNESS.
