Default Sc400 auto swap

I'm looking into swapping from auto to manny, I had a few questions that I can't seem to gid the answer to,

Everywhere I look, recommends to use the w58 out of a mkiv supra, why wouldn't I be able to use te one out of and mk3?

Secondly, where the bloody hell can I find a w58, I've ran a train on Craigslist, google and eBay and I can't seem to find one anywhere. Does anyone know of anyone who is selling one?

Car-part.com

MK3 W58 shifter will need to be extended. Get one from an SC300 or MKIV.

yeah you can use a mk3 one but the end result is more work.

not sure if you plan on just driving the car casually but I'd recommend the r154 since you're going through all the trouble to swap.. pretty easy to find one from a mkiv as well

Mk3 w58 is fine, you only have 1 extra step like mentioned above, which is extending the shifter retainer.

My plans are a daily with occasional sideways walking, with minimal down time between swaps.

Let us know the price you found it and the location. Check the classifieds on here every so often, like thirty times a day. lol

GL on your swapping it out.

I haven't actually found one yet, so the search continues. I'll be sure to keep posting the swap status though. Thanks.
