junky, very possibly its a bad ECU. definitely check all the other stuff like you are doing but I went through similar things...one of the symptoms of bad ECU is injectors go stupid and start pouring gas into cylinders-causing very rich running and gas smell....when you look into another ECU remember that a new/old ECU is still old. juice gets pumped through old resistors and if they've been sitting idle they burst...look into getting one rebuilt

thanks but that was for a MT i have an Auto.....still searching

edit: my sc is a 93 engine i think is a 95 what ecu 's are compatabile? any ideas

update if anyone cares.....pulled my ECU and opened it up to see at least 3 bad caps....replaced all caps myself and cleared up all issues with the car..

i also have extra caps if anyone wants to try the fix yourself....cost me like 10 bucks
