Just bought a Jdm 2jzge. Few qestions.
Hey guys i just bought a jdm 2jzge for a replacement for my 1993 sc300. The oil sump in the new jdm motor is in the front. The old motor has the sump in the rear. Do i have to swap? Or will the sump clear the sway bar? Also, is there anything else i should know? I know i have to use my whole intake. Any help, tips, ect would be wonderful!

Swapped the sumps, that was easy. Anyways, I have no emissions in my area. Can i use the jdm intake?. I've searched and searched and haven't found a direct answer. The difference between the two intakes is the EGR and something about a MAF and MAP. Can some one please elaborate on this.

All JDM 1jz and 2jz non-vvti use a map sensor.
easiest is to swap the motor in and use your existing ecu, harness and maf.
You can use the JDM intake just fine, there is just no egr on it, so if you don't care about passing emissions like on a track car, you don't have to swap intakes at all.
you can swap the US intake onto the jdm motor to retain all the egr stuff on top, but it wont function cause there is no egr hole on the head, unless you install a USDM head.
obviously if your usdm has trac and the jdm one doesnt or vice versa, just use the throttle body that came with your car. thats about it.
you won't need the map and IAT sensor if you use your existing maf, ecu and harness (which I recommend). you can take those sensors off or leave the disconnected.
