Default Tank fuel filter?

I recently replaced the inline fuel filter on the 400, and I kept reading about the filter in the tank but never found a part number for it or a diagram. Can somebody please help? The website I used to use is now down and now I have no access to any diagrams ><.

Thanks in advance.

Update: I found this diagram but nowhere it shows a filter. http://lexuspartsonline.com/index2.h...&siteid=214281

I will suggest to take out your fuel pump and see what model of pump is in there. The pump might have been replaced already in the past being an old car. Knowing the pump model, you will get to know what sock type filter you need to order.

why do you want to check the filter... Usually doing the one in the rail is fine, unless the issue is till there and fuel related.. Usually you don't replace that unless the pump goes bad.

I am having issues with fuel economy especially in the city and the car doesnt seem to accelerate properly (like its pulling back) but the rpm goes all the way up to 2k ~ 2.5k, sometime car even stalls. So far I checked maf sensor, iacv, tps and all checked out. I checked for vacuum leaks and there are none, I replaced fuel filter and seafoamed the car with oil change, ...etc while doing yearly maintenance. Put an entire bottle of seafoam in the tank with the following gas fill up twice and only re-filled when I hit the 1/4 marker. It helped a bit but when I reach about half a tank issues start again. I even have an after market intake and my mileage is completely garbage.

My next step is remove the injectors and clean them, but knowing the hassle I'm getting myself into I wanted to replace everything else while I'm at it. I did the 12v mod to the fp ecu and I hear the pump working at full power, feel a bit more gas but issues still exist. I dont suppose my pump is going out otherwise the car wouldnt start no?

I just went through all this, and replaced everything you replaced, turns out my front left brake caliper piston/pad was sticking to the rotor. Not sure wether it was the clips that's holding the pad in place, 'cause the pad was stuck when I was removing it. Anyways, I did the LS brake upgrade on mine so that fixed my MPG. I'm back at 18MPG city(used to be 12-14MPG), but freeway never changed even with the stuck pad, 25MPG. Just a thought before you go through all you said. Start with the simple things, like spark plugs or o2 sensor...

Thanks. I have no check engine lights or any other code whatsoever except code 24 for trac which has always been on, so cant be o2 sensor. Same for me I run about 22-25mpg on the highway (before intake), only city I run about 12-14mpg. Thing is the issue comes and goes. I replaced a front caliper about 6 months ago and with the rain it got rusty, maybe thats it. I'll post my findings tomorrow.

Yup, sure enough the pads were stuck to the rotors on both sides. I think the metal brackets that hold the pads are overdue so Ill replace those and see how to goes. Thanks again buddy!
