Default Cam Sensor

Does anyone know the clearance between the GTE cam sensor and the cam nub ?

im having one welded to my GE head and i need the maximum clearance for the sensor to get a good clean signal

any help would be appreciated

do you know any write ups that show you how to wire up the cam sensor and crank sensor to the dizzy plug? which wires need to go where?

2JZ-GE Distributor on a 95 Lexus SC300 (different colors on a supra!!)
NE (crank signal) = BLUE PIN1
G1 (cam signal 1) = RED PIN2
G2 (cam signal 2) = YELOW PIN3
G- (shared sensor ground) = BLACK PIN4

I hope you know you need to install a 2jzge vvti oil pump and all its related stuff on to your engine so that you have the crank sensor input, as I assume you are deleting the distributor. Try and avoid using a GTE pump because the oil pressure will be increased over stock and many people have had main seal issues in the past.

the signal from the crank sensor goes to the blue wire on the distributor plug, and the ground goes to the Black wire (shared ground) on the distributor plug.

The signal from one of your cam sensors you will wire to the red wire on the distributor plug,
The signal from your other cam sensor you will wire to the yellow wire on the distributor plug.
Both ground signals one from each cam will go to the black wire (shared ground) on the distributor plug.

The only thing I am not positive on is which cam sensor is G1 and G2.
If you get it backwards you can always swap the red and yellow wires, but hopefully someone will know.
I think the one closest to the radiator is G1, but don't quote me on that.

oh wow i did not know about the oil pressure thing i was going to order the gte oil pump this week too!.

would this work then?

i am going to use a standalone ems and i believe i can get away with only 1 cam sensor correct? if so which would i need to wire into? g1 or g2? tie both to one?

and does polarity matter on the sensors? they seem to be just a magnet
