20+ deg at full boost on a stock 2jz is begging for trouble .. more like 15-17 degrees to keep it together

I said I couldn't verify the 20 to 30 degrees of timing, but I know that I run 17 degrees of timing with 93 octane and 50/50 methanol and have been doing so for the last four years with zero problems. I also know that guys with e85 run more timing so it seems like the 20 degrees would be correct.

ah , no .. just because a few choose to be daredvils doesnt make it the right thing to suggest .. ive een apha tune dozens of cars at various power levels and have seen his timing numbers ..

on my personal car on pure 93 he actually made over 610 rwhp but backed it down to mitigate knock .. we could have pushed up timing into the 13-14 deg range but why .. on e85 you can push 20 deg at peak trq and hp but why risk e85 actally tuening out to be like e70 or so which seems to be becoming the norm at some stations ...

i/we would rather be on the safe side of tuning with a healthy margin for "what if 's" then trying to squeeze every last bit of power out of the tune

CIm at 12* at wot in full boost. Cars runs like an animal drives great. Im ordering a precision 6766 tomorrow so the turbo will no longer be an issue. Only issue i have now is my car likes to die and stall when coming to a stop...

id personally richen that up just abit for safety ..many dont think of it this way but do remember , your wideband is taking a average of all 6 cyl .. you have no idea if one is at 11.4 and 2 are at 12.8 ..so if you tune on the richer side it gives you just alittle more protection .. just my 2 cents

I agree I'll never take my car to another shop. It was
tuned perfectly. Just need to tweak a couple things

Just out of curiosity, did you buy that turbo from a guy with a Grand National?! Holy mismatched turbo batman! Lol j/k!!! You're just about turbine limited.... Glad you're scrapping it. It sounds like a slow tune but it could be other things. That 160lb injector is one of the sloppiest injectors on the planet. It's internals are very heavy and hard to control. Pintel bounce. You can't tune that out, it's just a garbage injector. That's a nice setup you're pulling together, it'll make good numbers when it's tweaked and the issues are ironed out.
I know Lexforlife's been mentioning his tuner, Alpha at Induction Performance. Give him a call tomorrow, tell him Janelle said to give you a free consult.
