Power Steering Pump
Hello my name is Taylor and I have a 93 SC with a 1JZ and recently my steering has been getting harder and harder. I think my power steering pump is starting to crap out. There must be a leak somewhere because there is fluid around the hose from the pump to the resivoir but when I try to look and see I dont see anything.
Any one have similar problem? Or does anyone know where to get a new pump? and will a 2JZGE pump work for the 1J?
I know suprastore.com will rebuild them but I cant NOT drive for a month or so. Any help is appreciated! Thanks for reading.

You gotta get the pump for the 1JZ. Try a rebuilt unit from a local parts house, you can match it up with yours pump and swap it the same day. Be sure to bleed the system correctly or it'll ruin the pump

NAPA sells cheaper version of the parts, guaranteed to go out again. O'Reilly's has a far superior product and their knowledge base is superior to their competitors.

What could be the reason that you cannot see the PS fluid is the vacuum valve, located on the PS pump. Vacuum hose comes loose off of the pump, fluid enters the hole, car burns white smoke, but if you are not burning any white smoke, the vacuum valve is not the issue.
