2000 SC300 2jz-ge vvti W58. What clutch kit?
I am getting really confused with the flywheel clutch and pressure plates and what are engine specific and what are trans specific and if vvti makes a difference.
Another question, is it possible to run this combination on the stock wiring harness and ecu? I did this in my 240sx and I just had no speedometer and had to do some splicing and had a check engine light.

VVTI is only a function of variable valve timing and having nothing to do with clutch type!
Wiring I would recommend consulting DR. tweak he is on here(CL).
but I don't know his screen name.

Yeah I do believe the is300 comes with a w55. Are they the same spline?
Also I just get freaked out by sc300 clutch kits because they say 92-97 only. I realize that's because the didn't make 5 speeds after that, but I'm wondering if there was any modification so that they would take a different clutch after 97.
