Default Code 14 - ok what...?

Hey guys-

We were running the scanner tonight on the slight miss in the engine, per the snap on scanner it's saying a code 14 -

Can someone please tell me the difference of an igniter vs a coil?

Are they the same thing?

let me know what you think of said code 14....

Thanks!!

First off what car do you have..... swapped? sc300? sc400?

Coils are generally described as the coil directly on top of the plugs and the igniter is the module that controls them all.

Code 14 is an ignition code but can come from a number of things depending on what engine your dealing with
