If I am not mistaken you live in Glen Ellyn right? If so hope to see you around on the road maybe as I am right over in Bllomingdale. Good lck and enjoy the product of your valiant effiorts!

As for price breakdown on the swap
US Spec motor = $3k
FMIC = $1k
clutch & flywheel = $700
motor mounts$200
Supra wiring harness $650
Supra ecu $300
bcc=$100
boost controller$325
Fluidyne $450
downpipe$275
exhaust $300 a great deal from Phil
Those are the major items. I will say, I didn't cut any corners, and did some upgrades, egr block offs, supra fuel filter with -6an line straight to rail (fpd bypass), also replacing lots of parts like , ignitor, resistor, power steering resevior, etc... All of those additional items added up real quick!
hpc, you'll probably see me around more than you think, I just bought a house in bloomingdale. I'm off of Cambridge near the Bloomindale Park District.
I don't even think the lip would cover that sucker up. I think we played it too safe on the brackets, but I have a few inches to move it up, so I'll be taking care of that this week. Either way, I want the Wise lip just have to find it.

Chris had the biggest grin on his face during that first test drive! We both did!
It certainly is a cool sight seeing an SC speeding away, yet hearing the distinct sound of a Supra!!!

Nice progress!
One question. Did you buy the fpd bypass line shown on the mkiv web site? If so, did the fuel feed line fit into the ge rail without modification? The place I get fittings couldn't match the bango bolt that feeds the ge fuel rail. I did the fpd bypass but was having to build a custom fuel line. Also, did you remove the stock sc300 fuel filter and place the supra filter near the firewall to work with the bypass fuel line?
Thanks,

Thanks Scott, I hope your project is coming along nicely too
As for the questions you had
I actually just made my own fpd bypass, and bought the fittings myself. I'm using the factory gte fuel rail as the motor is the 2jzgte, so I'm not sure if the entrance to the fuel rail is the same on the NA. I'm lead to believe it is. If that truly is the case, you can use the following for parts to perform the fpd bypass
-Qty (2) 12mm x1.25 x -6an (Dellorto, Solex, Mikuni) fitting part number 991945 (Earl's I believe)
One for the end of the fuel rail, and one for the "outlet" of a supra fuel filter.
-Then get about 12'-15' of -6an line to run it back to the stock fuel filter location
-Qty (1) -6an 90 degree hose end
-Qty (1) -6an Straight hose end
-Qty (1) MKIV supra fuel filter
So to answer your second question, yes, I used a MKIV supra fuel filter, because it still has the 14mm x 1.5 thread on the "IN" side, but it allows you to use this 12mm x 1.25 x -6an fitting on the "OUT" side, therfore you can just connect the straight hose end to that fitting and run it all the way to the rail, where the 90 degree connects to the other fitting, into the rail.
The supra filter works well for this, because the factory sc300 filter has the same size in and out 14mm x 1.5, and the earls fittings didn't look like it would completely seal.
Hope that wasn't too confusing
I had to do it this way because the hard line had the typical flares on it, and they don't seem to mate that well with aftermarket hose ends. So I just decided to extend the fpd bypass, all the way back to the lexus fuel filter
Just a note as well, there is really no audible difference at idle without the fpd uninstalled.
if you need any more help scott, just hit me up

Chris,
Good info. Thanks.
Does the fuel line fit inside the plastic conduit that runs the length of the passenger cabin, or do you have to run it outside of the conduit?
Thanks again,
-scott

We fixed the fmic. That's more like it!
By the way, stock boost sucks As soon as I put some miles on the clutch
I'll turn the boost controller on, and turn up the wick, especially with a full tank
of 100 octane.
Here are a few pics.

Thanks guys!!!
You'll get your ride Kevin don't you worry.
I'll continue to keep my eyes peeled for your motor
as well.
Jeff, I'm actually growing very fond of the hks exhaust It is UNBELIEVABLY quiet at idle, just a tad bit louder, and when I mash on the gas, it sounds so mean, but still very quiet! That's what I wanted stealth.
One side note, I hooked the boost controller up today to try and boost over stock, and for some reason it wasn't going any higher than .9 bar even though it was still pulling really hard. I finally went down to the garage and went through looking for my boost leak. AH HAH, the ic coupling at the throttle body wasn't on all the way, how could I have missed that Nonetheless, I found it and I'm excited to take it to work tomorrow and see what more than .9 bar feels like
