Yes you can clean it and it will help but that's not your problem.
https://www.clublexus.com/forums/per...rol-valve.html
Do the fuel ecu mod.
https://www.clublexus.com/forums/per...p-12v-mod.html
Don't let taking the back seat out bother you. It is very easy and also will give you a chance to clean up back there and really clean and condition the leather on your back seat while they are out of the car.

Here is a more picture-orientated DIY on cleaning the IACV. https://www.clublexus.com/forums/per...acv-sc400.html
Make sure to report back after performing the 12v mod.

No, you're thinking of the Mass air flow sensor, which is placed before the throttle body, as the IACV is allocated into the throttle body.
Your SC is a 92, thus, it has an AFM, which is essentially, an MAF except for the fact that the AFM uses Karmen Vortex air meter to detect air flow and mixture. The AFM cannot be cleaned by merely spraying it with MAF cleaner. This will ruin the AFM, the only procedure you can have done is to blow the AFM wire with compressed air. If the code says to compensate the AFM, than that's expediently a good approximation...or attempt to blow dust off of it.

I don't think the fuel pump mod is going to do much for you.
so the engine light blinked out a 24 or the trac light, the trac light has its own codes you may want to write that one down too and let us know.
Could be the maf, could be the idle valve, could be a bad coilpack of the top of my head.
sounds more like the idle valve though, but the code is for the intake sensor its part of the maf. reset your codes and see if it come back sometimes it will just happen when you have other issues.
You can try cleaning the iacv like in that guide, but just do the cleaning of the tip and make sure the plunger can spin, basically the cleaning in the first 3 pictures. Don't take the black plastic part off the plunger like in the pictures after that, in my iacv adventures that would seem to make mine fail more often than not, and you really don't need to clean in there no carbon goes in there and its all magnets and grease, more likely to break it than do any good. if its still not working you may need a new one.

Regardless of whether you buy a used IAC valve or just clean your present one you are going to need to pull it off so just pull it off and clean it good like Slide recommends. Mine was filthy so I cleaned it. Still had to do the Fuel pump ecu mod.
