Default 1992 sc 400 won't stay running

The sc 400 had been sitting for a year prior to us buying it. It will start but once placed into reverse or drive it dies. The gas has been replaced along with the fuel filter, pump and strainer. It is all stock. Any ideas on what the culprit may be?

Adjust the throttle cable under the plastic cover. See if it helps. Whats it idling at in park?
