Happens to me as well. One time I tried to put a radio harness onto a radio harness to make my new unit work. So retarded...lol. Glad you got it figured out...

haha Thats how working on cars goes some times. When I saw the other cable lying there, I just stood there and stared at it for a bit, contemplating the meaning of life.

thanks again for everyones help and quick replys!
ill let you guys know how the alternator swap goes.

My favorite is when I stand outside my office door an click the door unlock button on my car key repeatedly and can't figure out why the door want unlock. That's usually my first clue that its going to be a LONG day and a reminder that I'm getting old

Hello I am having the same issue as this is six years old now I don’t expect a reply but what other positive cable is there

I'm glad you told me to check the battery because I eventually caved in and went to swap the battery with a different one and what do I see laying under the old battery? The OTHER positive cable that I completely forgot about... -_-
I'll be swapping the alternator tomorrow.
