Question: LQ9 or Built 1UZ?
Ok so here's the deal, I've been working on my SC for the past year getting it ready for TX2K14. Well I've been ordering my parts to build the 1UZ for a big single, BW S480. Well with the fact I cant find anyone to build me custom sleeves I've been very stand-off of my power goals.
Well yesterday while hanging out with a friend of mine he told me he had a LQ9 complete. So I asked him if he is willing to part ways with it and asked me to make an offer. I told him $1500 and he accepted. The plan for the lq9 was to go into my 91 FC with a decent sized single setup. But, after some thinking I was thinking should I just swap the lq9 into my SC with a T56 or just continue with the original and just drop it into the FC.
I know I can make 1100whp on the lq9 if built but idk what the 1uz block itself can take. Also I don't know if the company that offered ls swaps for the Lexus is still around. I still have to get new heads, get them machined and built for the 1uz and still have to order my pistons, JE.
Just looking to hear some opinions on what others think is the best route.
