Harness has been in for a few weeks and the car will not even start anymore.

For some reason at ACC the car cranks. At start position it just clicks. Strange. The only thing that has changed is the new Tweaked harness.

Mike is attempting to talk to tweaked about it.

Found out why no cel.
So Mike said he's been trying for weeks to get Tweaked on the phone to fix the harness. He couldn't so he took it on himself and got it fixed. So now the car starts and doesn't flood.

I got to say I'm not pleased with Tweaked. I probably wouldn't buy again. The quality is good but not worth $1000. Especially since there was a mistake and they did not make enough effort to correct it.

So even though the engine started it's still backfiring. Mike did a leak down test and two intake valves on cylinder 5are stuck open.

1j is non interference and the timing has always been spot on so the odds are oxidation from sitting got the valves stuck. So I found a method to free them without removing the head. You take the cam out, and put rope in the. Ylinder. Put that cylinder to TDC to push the valves up. Soak them in lube and use a drill to spin them free and done. I hope to try it.

Might as well do valve stem seals while your in there. I would. Funny, but I'm pretty sure I said you wasted your time on that harness.

So it turned out to be the harness. What I purchased wasn't exactly plug and play, some wiring was mixed up.

There were no stuck valves.

The end to a nightmare.

...Ummm....

I did not do the leak down test, therefore I don't have an answer to that maybe a mistake?

Thanks man. It drives well, I just have to rebuild my LS calipers to fix my low braking point issue and get an alignment and I should be at the track soon.

Bringing an old thread back from the dead, but. Could you go more into detail about what was wrong with your engine harness? I myself am having very similar issues and i'm sure others are too. A somewhat detailed description of what was fixed on the harness would be awesome.

I understsand the tweaked harness was messed up but what fix actually got the car running?

I'm hitting a weird "wall" at about 2k RPM's also. This is a JZX110 DBW swap into a GS300 on the JZX auto trans. Car is stock except FMIC/exhaust/ intake filter

Any help would be appreciated before I start throwing money at it. I'm going to try to pull the codes, if any, tomorrow to see if there is anything there.
