Does anyone make a shift kit for the SC300 A340E automatic? Does anyone have a cheap do it yourself mod? I'm trying to firm up the shifts and would like to tear into the valve body and block off accumulators, shim up pressure springs and such to help. Has anyone tore into these? I like to do things myself.

That's basically what Toyomoto does in order to increase the line pressure, as for the exact procedure, that would fall under the category of things they get paid for, good luck and dive in....

Can't help you TrboHead, but if you ever figure it out, let me know!! I've wanted to buy a shift kit for the longest time. For now I'm looking at the Swift torque convertor.

That will be the second thing to do once I make sure the shifts will be firm enough to handle it. I'll try to get a picture of the valve body or a diagrahm and see what I can paly with.
Anyone have a exploded picuture on this tranny?

One more...
BTW can anyone confirm that this is the 4-speed auto? I just found it placed in my image library under SC400s.

That was my first desired mod after I bought the car, until I found out that only a couple of places do it for large sums of $,and no one here has tried anything on their own.It would be trial and error, but worth it I'm sure for the added life you'd get out of it.
If you tear into it,be sure and document what you did,I don't have the time these days to tear into much with the baby here and all, otherwise I'd probably have an answer for you.
Good luck.
