this gives me hope. my friend has a garage and a lift and he swapped the tranny on his c4 vette, so he's got some experience in this field. can't wait to swap my 92 sc400, especially since the ECU works fine with a swap.

If you need to go get misc stuff, it can be forever...

 

is there a list of all things needed somewhere?

 

no matter what you do, you always will run in to problems, it takes time to work out the bugs

 

Basic stuff would be:

tranny
mount(s)
clutch
flywheel
pressure plate
clutch tool
pilot bearing
throw out bearing
clutch slave
clutch pedals w/ lines
gear oil
necessary bolts (pressure plate/flywheel/etc)

I can't seem to think of any more... Always the possibility of a seized bolt/hard to reach bolt.
With a lift and proper tools, it shouldn't take more than a day.
