Default Question to the 2JZGTE swapped SC400 guys and gurus

I have a 1994 SC400 and am purchasing a 2jzgte swap in Feb. I had a 1995 sc300 parts car wich i got the full dash and harness out of before scrapping the car. From what I have found on all the forums i searched on they say the sc300 is easiest to do this swap because more is compatable obviously. not worried about that but what I would like to know is if it would make my life more simple to use the sc300 dash harness for wiring it all up to the GTE harness? or is using the sc400 harness usable?? most evry thread i seen they either sent the harness off or had DR.Tweak make one up for the sc400 and actaully wiring it up to the 400 wasnt covered. I would like to wire this myself if at all possible to keep costs to a minimum and yes i have looked at the thread on aristo harness figure out..

Not an expert, but after doing the 2jzgte (jdm aristo) into an sc400, I'd say your best bet is to stick with the harness that came with the car you're swapping the engine into, meaning use the 1994 SC400 harness, and splice it to the 2jzgte harness when you get it. The only pro's I can think of to splicing the 2jzgte harness to the sc300 dash and harness (and then installing it into an sc400) is the rpm gauge would be accurate. With the sc400 commonly having additional features, sticking with its original harness would be your best bet. Good luck in splicing them together, if you work it out, POST THAT DIY! I tried figuring it out based on all the sc300 pinouts/jdm aristo pinouts/etc., but eventually gave up. Went the Dr. Tweak route, which was a huge part of my swap budget (Ill be sportin an ebay turbo for awhile), but they do a great job and have BADASS customer support/service. Keep us updated on the progress!
