This is obvious by the location of the O2 sensors. If its a cat, it will have an O2 sensor after it.

I forgot the name, but it's on the corner of Oxnard and Van Nuys Blvd. in Van Nuys...southwest side. Go there. For some retarded reason, I forgot the name of the shop, and the guy there, but he's this big Persian dude. He'll do whatever you want him to do with it...he does good work, and has pretty good prices too. As soon as I figure out what mufflers I want, I'll be going there. I've had my exhaust system done by him before on my old Civic.
