Jic Twin Spartan or Greddy MX?
I have narrowed down my two choices for exhaust at this point. Either the Jic twin spartan system or the Greddy MX are what I have in mind. Could some honest opinions be given on either of these systems and how you like/dislike it? Thanks

JIC Magic
Hi, I just installed the JIC's last month. I got them from Steve Ganz after waiting MONTHS trying to get the Greddy's. I can't comment on the Greddy's as I've never even seen them, but the JICs are great! The bolt up perfectly, they're light, and they're not too loud. I think they sound a lot like a Porsche when you wind it up. The dual models don't come with silencers, but silencers are available. You can check with Steve at Carson Toyota for price and availability. I'm sure he'll cut you the best deal possible.
PS - Steve carries the Greddys as well...

i was going to buy the greddys but they were on back order for months like wmulli said. I waited for about 2 months then i said FK THAT and i got my money back and bought some apex dunk universal mufflers. I dont recommend these on a stock car, they are too big and will look rediculous. With a body kit they should look fine.
GET THE JIC's
well i hope i contributed to this thread.

heard good things about the JIC... Borlas suck definitely; especially for the price... nothing but a bolton muffler really
custom exhaust is the way to go... the Apexi N1s are nice... using 2.5" piping and two resonators it will be rumbly at idle; but not real loud... and will not resonate throughout the rpm band; but will sound mean and aggressive...
sounds like a SupraTT (the SC3 does anyway) duh i wonder why?
the duals on the SC4 sound more like a new 4v cobra

Please post pictures of your car with the Jic Exhaust.
I just received yesterday a Jic Exhaust from Carson Toyota for my SC400 and it was not a dual exhaust.
I am in the process of returning it.

Thing is with custom exhaust shops here is that they will chop up your stock exhaust and reuse it for your new system. That would leave me without a stock exhaust to bolt back on if were to part with the car. Are you talking about the N1 turbo? or the n/a N1? I've looked into custom, but I think it would be better to buy from a company who actually engineered a system for the car. Just my 2 cents

You can find plenty of exhaust shops that will not reuse any of your old system, kind of defeats the purpose if you ask me.
They will use new materials, as they need to weld and bend (mandrel bending preferred) the piping to fit. You'll just have to look around or better yet, referrals are even better. You can also ask your local performance shops, maybe even who they use. Just need to do a bit of searching.

Down here in miami there is a place called miami muffler. They have a stainless steel mendrel bender. They quoted me 600 bux for a full exhaust from the downpipe all the way back. I dunno if i wanna stay twin or go for a big single thou
