Default s362 vs pte 6266

Im at the point in gathering parts where I am selecting a turbo.
Through the help of others on this forum and supraforums, ive narrowed it down to 2 choices.
the bw s362 and the pte 6266

for the bw s362 it would be the .96 divided
for the pte 6266 it would be the 1.0 divided

which turbo would produce more power at the same boost levels?
which turbo would spool earlier?

my engine is a stock 2jzge (and I plan on keeping it stock til I go distributorless)
I plan on running high boost (tons of e85 stations near me)

thanks for the input!

I was going to construct a 2jz turbo dart board to help with these turbo decisions, but a general rule is to go with the better one or whichever is more shiny. sometimes, they are one and the same. everyone will tell you different, but there have been good reviews of both turbos on here but maybe someone will chime in with specifics.

I dislike precision's customer service. They tend to want to blame the customer when one of their turbos fail. No experience with Borg Warner.

^^^^^ This.

BW all the way

BW turbo is the most reliable turbo money can buy...I had Precision Before and i wouldn't put on my lawnmower

S363 is my all time favorite , I had the S366, S360, S372, S467 which is 67.7mm and the S363 is my favorite.

i don't like BB turbo, not cost effective when it needs a rebuild...it's a price of a brand new Turbo.

There is a brand Turbo from BW FMW 64mm Billet, I think You should give that a Try , make the power of the 66mm 800whp+ and spools like the S363 if not faster

Whatever you do do not buy Precision.

hmmmmm
ive read both bad and good reviews about precision.
it seems like all the big name players run precision. jeff lutz (fastest street car in the us), sound performance, accelerated performance (fastest usa supra)

and im going to have to check out that new bw 64 mm.
I wonder if it is comparable to the 6466

It must be him I know for a fact he would not use a precision on his lawnmower.

here no one seems to like precision.

nothing is ever consistent!

haha!

There was a big debate on supra page on fb and alot of vendors got their feelings hurt

It pisses me off when a manufacturer always blames the custumer when something happen, problem arise...etc there is no quality control.

turbos out of balance from the manufacturer, i know plenty of guys blowing theirs on the dyno less than 5miles and they end up sending them to kirk at boostlab just to find out it's out balance.

And pte said it's user error, wrong oil feed lie or return line etc..and they want to change 600 to rebuild the turbo that has less than 5miles on it and wasn't even balanced.

my bw after 27k miles felt like brand new, same shaft play it had from day 1.

i had the 6765 5 years ago when they first came out.

i had turbonetics, now i have a garrett.

if you my previous posts from 4-5 years ago , i've always recommended pte but not anymore..

I like BW and Garrett because that's what's on the dump trucks, eighten wheelers driving from CA to Canada and sees more boost than we ever thought about running on our cars

To be honest I hate precision Turbos

ahhhh thank you!
I have heard that borg warner is an OEM manufacturer, and if they are on diesels, they see over 40 psi! and those diesels truck for millions of miles.

I just found this killer bws300 with a 64.5 mm compressor wheel.
looks like it is a competitor for the 6466 but without the ball bearings.

so if precisions do fail, why do vendors like sound performance claim they never had a single precision fail with the amount of precision turbos they put on cars.

^^^That's how they pay their bills and stay in business, the more you sell the more kick back you get

I am not saying they all fail but majority of them fail. And i don't believe they never had a faulty one it's BS.

I know what im getting. the bw s300sx 64 mm FMW
a 64 mm will get me to the power level I want, at a price I want to pay.
the 6466 is pretty expensive since it is a bb unit.

My opinion is If I can't find it on a Porsche, Bmw, Dodge,Ford, Chevy, Vw, Caterpillar, Cummins, Mtu, Detroit, Volvo, ETC ETC.

You will not find it on my Supra.

Garrett and BW are the only 2 oem Manufacturers.
